Meet Dean Michaels…
Sure, Dean looks like an ordinary guy but don’t let this picture fool you. Some might consider him a “Jack of all Trades”…… contractor, talented musician, volunteer extraordinaire and those are just to name a few. If Dean isn’t replacing a roof or remodeling a kitchen for a client, he is serving his community and we are lucky enough to have his help.
Dean Michaels has been a volunteer with Wings of Hope Hospice for over 15 years. He has been a staple at the annual Night of Hope Auction as Emcee and also donates a fish fry for 40 that is coveted by many. Dean is a member of the Auction committee and helps collect numerous items each year from local businesses and individuals. Dean has also donated his musical talents to our patients. Playing the soothing harp or guitar is a treat for them and can be most therapeutic.
If Dean does look familiar to you it may be from this ‘little’ show he produces called the Cabaret Band Show. I say that sarcastically because he has made it a main attraction in the community with his list of outstanding talent he recruits each year. In its 32nd year, this event only gets better. Dean pours hours of time into production and promotion and it shows when you attend the show. Net proceeds of the show are donated to local charities and Wings of Hope is grateful to be one of its beneficiaries.
Be sure to catch the 2017 Cabaret Band Show on March 17, 18 & 24, 25th at the Griswold Auditorium in Allegan. Seats are reserved and can be purchased at Wings of Hope Hospice, 269-686-8659.
Thank you Dean for your time, talents, energy, and even your humor (most of the time 🙂 ).
