Living with Grief & Supporting Those Who are Grieving
Grief is what happens inside of us when we experience a loss. The loss can be an object, a pet, one’s reputation, a dream, a loved one….. Grief is very real and can be quite challenging to live with. In this presentation, we will talk about the principles of grief and loss, personal experiences with grief, healing listening, and the medical model and contemplative model of grief and grief support. This class is open to all adults. Although the class is not a support group, those who are grieving may find comfort in it. Those who are supporting someone who is grieving may gain some useful information. The presenter is Theresa Lynn, PhD, RN, LMSW and Certified Thanatologist. Dr. Lynn taught an online course for many years at WMU called Understanding Grief and Loss. She is the Executive Director of Wings of Hope Hospice and the Director of the Wings Home. There is no charge for this class.
Please contact Wings of Hope if you’re interested in holding a presentation.
